Trust Guidelines

Under the terms of the Edmiston Trust Deed, the Trust is in a position to support the following:

• The purchase of art works for the Auckland Art Gallery
• The purchase of maritime art for the Trust's collection housed at the New Zealand National Maritime Museum
• The commissioning or purchase of art works for public spaces and buildings

General Conditions include the pre-requisite that:

• The Trust only supports Auckland art purchases, commissions and acquisitions.
• Artists of stature are given preference for public commissions
• The Trust has the right to retain ownership to any work or commission or to vest that ownership in a third party, as it sees fit.
